Mixed use of the Belltron digital carillon
Date: September 20, 2023
The Belltron digital carillon is used, in most cases, in the absence of bronze bells. In the rest of the cases it is employed, in terms of functionality, in replacement of the existing bells in case they are
not safe; it is sometimes used to implement the ringtones of the existing bronzes.
On the 3 rd of August this year (2023) Belltron digital carillon was installed on the bell tower of the church of San Nicola di Bari in Rivisondoli, in the province of L'Aquila. This church is equipped with six bells but it was considered appropriate to enrich the sound with the Belltron electronic reproduction of bells that, thanks to the multidirectional sound speaker, allowed to give more body to the ringtones. In this regard, the electronic bell player not only spreads the sound recorded in high fidelity and perfectly homogeneous with the timbre of the bells present, but also manages the movement of the bells, clock and chimes that mark the hours.
The plant was built by Patrick Chiavaroli, Belltron dealer for the Abruzzo region.
