Dehonian Mission in Albania
Date: July 06, 2017
In the Albanian Plain, about halfway between Tirana and Scutari, lies Gurez: it’s not exactly a town but an extended area with scattered farm houses and buildings.
The parish church is located in the center of the two homes of the Basilian fathers and nuns, along the plain of Fushe - Kuqe (called the red plain). The construction has an impressive appearance, but the structure itself is simple and essential. It has a bell tower about thirty meters high, centrally located to the façade.
The three bells (D-Flat major - 130 kg, G-Flat major - 72 Kg and A-45Kg) were donated from Italy and were made to function after years of silence thanks to the control system made by Belltron. Each of the three bells had a linear motor installed, which features include no moving mechanical parts and resistant to any atmospheric conditions. The system is connected to a GM-870 cast bell controller and is connected to the Belltron-Cloud to provide the user with a simple remote control function of the Belltron device, which allows the parish priest to manage the melodies and programming from where ever in the world he may find himself.
The built-in audio system inside the church has a BPA-245EA digital amplifier, programmable through a PC and Wi-Fi. Furthermore the audio system includes microphones and the CA-65 loudspeakers. They are high performance speakers with a very low visual impact, perfect for reverberant environments.
Father Aniello made a video message to thank Belltron:
"I wish to thank Belltron for the promptness with which the company solidly worked to realize this project. A team of professional technicians came along to install the system in the bell tower as well as the audio system inside the church."
