CELEBRATION OF THE EIGHTIETH ANNIVERSARY OF MAZ

On the occasion of the 80th anniversary of MAZ (Minskij Avtomobil'nyj Zavod), a well-known Belarusian company of heavy vehicle manufacturers as well as buses and trolleybuses based in Minsk, an extraordinary ceremony was held that brought together the local community at a time of great historical and cultural significance.
A Return to the Past on the Tower of Partizansky Avenue
The tower, located near Partizansky Avenue, has seen the return of the bells that in the past rang time in the industrial heart of the capital. This event marks the restoration of historic clocks that had previously been replaced by digital devices, but which did not integrate into the architecture of the palace.
Sergei Maslyak, the Minister of Natural Resources, Environmental Protection and former chief of the Zavodsky district, stressed the importance of this gesture: "For a long time there were electronic clocks here that did not fit perfectly into the existing architecture. Thanks to the workers, the support of our beloved factory, the general manager and the work of the administration of the Zavodsky district, we had the opportunity to restore the clock and return it to its historic place".
Absolute Precision with Belltron Technology
The old dial control system has been replaced by the innovative ROB clockwork series from Belltron. The ROB clockwork encoder detects the mechanical position of hours and minutes every 20 milliseconds and incorporates a double encoder with guaranteed accuracy of +/- 0.11 degrees (equal to +/- 0.5 seconds). In the event of a power outage, the system, when the power is returned, reads the position of the hour and minute dials immediately aligning them with the reference time of the control unit or satellite. With this system, the phase shift of the spheres to the real time is simply impossible and the accuracy of the hands is guaranteed for life.
The Melody of the Belarusian Anthem at noon
At noon on August 5th, the restored clock tower played the melody of the Belarusian anthem, produced by the electronic bell tower Belltron DMC-370A. This model is part of a series of sound players with hundreds of bell melodies present in memory. The sound reproducers of the Belltron bells allow to be programmed in time according to any type of need. The opening ceremony was made even more special by an exciting fireworks show that lit up the sky over Minsk.
This event not only celebrates the legacy of MAZ, but also symbolizes the commitment of local community and institutions to preserve and enhance the cultural and industrial heritage of Minsk.
